Director, Program Implementation & Community Engagement, East Durham Children’s Initiative (EDCI)

East Durham Children’s Initiative (EDCI) is excited to announce a job opening for a Director of Program Implementation and Community Engagement!

EDCI is committed to improving outcomes for children and families living in a 120-block area of East Durham referred to as the EDCI Zone. Our long-term vision is to have all youth in the EDCI Zone successfully graduate from high school, ready for college or a career. We work to achieve this vision by providing a continuum of high-quality services for children and families extending from birth through high school. EDCI partners with over 20 local organizations and community members who share our vision to provide these needed resources and supports to East Durham children and families.

EDCI is seeking to fill the position of Director of Program Implementation and Community Engagement. This full-time, benefits eligible position is responsible for leading the creation, coordination and implementation of key community based interventions and functions for the East Durham Children’s Initiative. Reporting to the President & CEO, this position serves as a member of EDCI’s Leadership Team and works closely with other senior leadership to carryout community engagement efforts, increase community awareness of EDCI, implementation of community based interventions and recruitment of community based participants into EDCI programs and services.
