Executive Director, Wisconsin Campus Compact

Wisconsin Campus Compact (WiCC) is a consortium of colleges and universities who share a commitment to the civic mission of higher education and the value of integrating community engagement into students’ academic and co-curricular experiences. WiCC’s mission is to strengthen civic engagement and service-learning partnerships between Wisconsin’s postsecondary institutions and the communities they serve. Member institutions include public, private, 2 year, 4 year, technical colleges and statewide Extension throughout Wisconsin.

The Executive Director of WiCC is responsible for providing leadership and assistance to member institutions for the purpose of furthering both student and institutional engagement. This includes the providing support and technical assistance for a wide range of engagement activities such as community-based learning and research, community and public service, and community-campus partnerships that seek a more just, democratic and healthy society. The Executive Director must be able to collaborate and build partnerships at the state and national levels among institutions of higher education, governmental and volunteer agencies, foundations and others committed to public and community service. S/he must identify and make available resources, forums and information to member campuses to achieve these common purposes.

The Executive Director is the primary administrator for WiCC and the essential link to the national Campus Compact network. The current host institution for WiCC is UW-Extension, and the WiCC office is presently located in Madison, Wisconsin.
