Program Coordinator, Minnesota Campus Compact

Minnesota Campus Compact supports civic engagement and democratic renewal through its diverse network of 40 colleges and universities. Working closely with other staff, the Program Coordinator provides day-to-day support for a variety of Minnesota Campus Compact programs and events as well as managing the main office’s operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Coordinate logistics, publicity, registration, contracts, catering, and materials for events.
  •  Schedule board meetings and support board communications.
  •  Help plan and implement trainings, communications, and progress reports related to the College Health Corps VISTA Program.
  •  Assist with budget forecasting and tracking.
  •  Create and distribute communications with contacts at member institutions and other stakeholders.

ADDITIONAL EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

Provide general office support, including updating database and contact lists, ordering supplies, and maintaining vendor contacts.

All other duties as apparent or assigned by supervisor (Executive Director).

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  •  At least two years of relevant office experience.
  •  Ability to show initiative and solve problems; organize workflow; manage one or more projects; be accurate and attentive to details; and handle frequent interruptions.
  •  Ability to communicate effectively interpersonally and in writing.
  •  Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  •  Proficiency with MS Office software, including Excel, and database systems required. Experience with ConstantContact.com and EventBrite.com preferred.
  •  Knowledge of and experience with national service programs, service-learning, higher education, and/or nonprofits preferred.
  •  Bachelor’s degree in communication, business administration, education, or a related field preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Typical work in an office at a desk for long periods of time with regular computer use. Office is located at Augsburg College in Minneapolis.

Flexible hours within regular business hours. Evening or weekend work occasionally required.

BENEFITS:

Salary: $20/hour for approx. 24 hours per week.
